My Littlest Pumpkin

Here are some of my favorite recent pictures of Mack. He is the happiest baby! Most of the time when he is awake and not hungry he is so smiley. I remember once the boys hit about 3-4 months they were pretty smiley in the morning before they got over tired. Mack sleeps much better than they did, so he seems much more content. I really think that it has to do with the fact that we are much more relaxed this time and things went pretty normal with the pregnancy and delivery and coming home. He does look a lot like Cale and Carter, but he also looks very different. Some faces he makes I see them at this age, but sometimes I see a totally different person. I guess it is just like the boys who are identical, I think they look very different.

Pumpkin Patch

Two weeks ago we walked down to the pumpkin patch. The boys picked out these hideous bumpy pumpkins. They are definitely unique. It's a good thing Andy refuses to carve pumpkins because those would be a little tricky. A lot of pictures lately have Cale with his eys closed. I don't know if they are closed because he blinked or is squinting. He reminds me of Earl on My Name is Earl, who always had his eyes closed in his pictures. These are some where his eyes are open, but every picture has one just like it but with Cale's eyes closed.

At One Month

It has been too long! Here are some pictures of the boys. Mack is a month old. This is also the first time Cale held Mack and Carter held him longer this time. At Mack's one month check up he was already up to 10 pounds 5 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long!! He is growing so fast. He looks even bigger now! The boys are still adjusting well to Mack. They love him very much and try and hug and kiss him all the time. Cale is always talking to him. Carter has been very helpful in getting me stuff. Mack's jaundice is getting better. He still has high levels, but at least they are coming down.

Here they are with our annual Big Pumpkin shot.

One Week Pictures

I have a friend from high school that is now a photographer and she came to our house when Mack was a week old and did some wonderful newborn pictures of him. They all turned out so good!! Here are a few and it has been hard for me to decide on which ones I want because they are all so cute.

Her website is Tina Marsh Photography. When you check out her website, go to Galleries and Moms and Babes and you will see more of my sweet baby Mack. If you need any pictures done then I highly recommend her! She has done the best location pictures and all her pictures look so good!!

Growing Pains

Wow have we been busy! I knew adding another child would make us busy, but I did not anticipate never having a free moment where someone doesn't need anything. That is pretty much our life and we are finally getting somewhat adjusted. Someone always needs something and therefore I have no time. I am trying to find out the best way to do things and that is coming along pretty good now. When I do have time and want to post some pictures or something I have only about an hour. Not always because of the kids, but because the laptop battery doesn't last long and the chair at my desk is wooden and makes it hard for me to sit at with my tailbone injury (which is getting better). Now all I need is a good nights sleep! So here is what has been going on with us for the last week.

The boys have had school everyday, which is awesome! They are doing great adjusting to the new baby. They absolutely love him and sometimes are quite smothering. We have been so blessed to have had meals for the last 3 weeks! That has been the best thing ever! I do not like to cook and with the craziness of getting use to three kids, poor Andy would have to have take out every night. I did make those few freezer meals and we will start eating those this week. I thought that they would have been gone by now, but luckily not.

Mack has been growing like crazy! I had to take him to the doctor on Monday because he is still looking a little jaundice. It turns out that he has breastfeeding jaundice. Go figure, I am actually making it at breastfeeding this time and I give my kid jaundice. On Monday they weighed him and he was up from his 2 day out of the hospital check of 7lbs 10oz to 9lbs 5oz. Then Friday I had to take him back for a check of weight gain and color and his weight was 9lbs 14oz! He is like his brothers and loves to eat. I go on Thursday for his one month check up and can't wait to see what his weight is then. He still seems to be a pretty laid back baby. He only really cries when something is wrong. He is already smiling at us when we talk to him, which is so cute! It makes me a little sad that this is our last baby.

Fire Station

A couple weeks ago, yes I am a little behind, the boys went on a field trip to a local fire station. They went to one that still has a pole to slide down, that was really neat. I was really afraid that I wouldn't get to go since Mack was only a week old. He ended up sleeping really good the night before and I felt pretty good, so I thought that an hour field trip wouldn't be so bad. I was right, it wasn't too hard for me to do and I love doing things like that with the boys. Andy did go too, so that was helpful and nice that we both got to do something with the boys during this time of change.

They wouldn't go up to have their picture made with the fireman unless I went too.
